  • As part of Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2025, this fashion show will display the diverse talents of the people of Wandsworth who have reimagined and repurposed clothes to give them a second life.
  • The Remaykit fashion show will demonstrate the skill and passion of sewers, knitters and menders who believe in the positive impact that upcycling clothes has on reducing pollution and landfill, while knowing a creative hobby can be good for health and wellbeing.
  • Wandsworth Arts Fringe is an annual extravaganza of arts and culture, popping up in surprising spaces all over the borough. This year will be the most ambitious festival as Wandsworth becomes London Borough of Culture 2025.

FASHION DOESN'T HAVE TO COST THE EARTH

  • Fast fashion is one of the most destructive industries on the planet, driving the climate crisis through massive carbon emissions, rampant over-consumption, and staggering amounts of waste. Yet, right here in our local community, we’ve discovered inspiring individuals who are challenging this narrative by upcycling, reusing materials, and giving garments a second life instead of buying new.
  • The Remaykit show is our platform to celebrate these creative changemakers. This fashion event not only showcases their innovative designs but also inspires others to join the movement for a more sustainable future. By highlighting the potential of upcycled fashion, we demonstrate that individual action can drive real environmental impact—and creativity is a powerful tool for change.
  • Remaykit is about imagining a different kind of fashion economy—one that values local ingenuity, minimises waste, and prioritises the planet. It’s proof that sustainable fashion doesn’t have to cost the earth.
